Betty (Montgomery) Rodeffer

Betty (Montgomery) Rodeffer, 90 of Lakeland, FL passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at home with family by her side.  She was born on November 29, 1930 in College Corner, OH to George and Nell Montgomery.  She married James (Jim) Rodeffer on November 29, 1949 In College Corner, IN.  They were blessed to have 48 years of marriage.  

Betty was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was passionate about sending cards to family and friends, never missing a birthday. She is survived by three daughters, Debbie (Andy) Bean of Lakeland, FL, Connie Rodeffer of Columbus, OH, Carman Ponder of Oxford, MS, and one son Steve (Jennifer) Rodeffer of Lakeland, FL., along with 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband James Douglas Rodeffer, two brothers Joe Montgomery, Kenneth Montgomery, two sisters-in-law Jean Montgomery, Mary Ellen Montgomery and one son-in-law David Ponder.

A graveside service will be conducted on January 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the College Corner Cemetery with Pastor Karen Montgomery officiating.  The service will be open to family and friends while respecting CDC guidelines.
