David Johnson Sr.

David Johnson, Sr., age 85, of Finneytown, passed away on December 6, 2021. He was born on March 17, 1936, to the late Russell Dwight and the late Viola May (nee Rine) Johnson. On June 3, 1959, in Brilliant, OH, David married the love of his life, Martha "Marie" Johnson, whom he has been reunited with in eternity.

David is survived by his children, Diana Claridy and Daniel (Bev) Johnson; grandchildren, Mark Johnson, Lloyd Johnson, Charles (Chante Hart) Claridy, David Claridy, Rachael Shierling, and Alicia Shierling; great grandchildren, Lilly, Markie, Chloe, Brianna, Christiana, Little Charles, Samara, Shantasia, and Audriana. Preceded in death by his wife, Martha “Marie” Johnson; his son, David Johnson Jr.; and his brother, Wayne Johnson.

David was employed with many prominent companies in Retail Management until his retirement nearly fifteen years ago which afforded him more time with his beloved Marie. David attended Lifespring Christian Church, was a Mason and Shriner.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 12th from 2 to 4 PM at the Paul R. Young Funeral Home, 7345 Hamilton Ave., Mt. Healthy, OH 45231. Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 13th at 12:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be offered to Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Hospital.
