He is the beloved husband of Betty Craynon-Watts; devoted father of Michael (Tracy) Lohstroh, Karen (the late Mike) Stevens, Steven (Hidee) Lohstroh, Melissa Swingle; dear step-father of Terri (Jeff) Graber and Lisa (Ken) Marshall; loving grandfather of Sara (Jake) Huelsman, Rebecca (Jason) Beasley, Jessica Stevens, Kyle Stevens, Cody Stevens, Cori (Ryan Dunaway) Lohstroh, William Lohstroh, Maggie Swingle, Kenny Swingle and step-grandfather of Joe (Stephanie) Graber Mark Graber, Nicole Best and Kellie Best; great-grandfather of Lukas Beasley, Jackson Lohstroh, Liam Lohstroh and step great-grandfather of Daniel, David, Bethany, Caleb, Isabelle and Conner Graber; and dear brother of Joyce (Darrel) Cooper. Edward is preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years Maragaret (nee Roettger) Lohstroh, brother Carl (the late Joyce) Lohstroh, sister Carolyn (the late Irv) Rohrbach, and his parents.

Edward served in the United States Navy in the Naval Construction Battalion (CB). He was proud of his CB service and especially enjoyed the 2 years he was stationed on Grand Turk Island. Edward lived in Colerain Township and was a longtime member of Groesbeck United Methodist Church and recently attended Friendship Baptist Church. He spent many years coaching youth baseball, seeing his own children through little league and coaching countless others. He also spent 50 years making everyone's Christmas a little brighter as Santa Claus. Edward enjoyed a long career with Proctor and Gamble, retiring from P&G after over 30 years of service. When he wasn't working, coaching or spreading Christmas cheer, he was cherishing time spent with his family and planning his next trip to the Smokey Mountains.
