Marian and Paul R. Young, Sr.

Founders

Paul Sr. (1921-2013) and his wife Marian (nee Mack) Young (1923-2022) founded the Paul R. Young Funeral Home in 1947 in Mt. Healthy, Ohio. Paul Sr. and Marian both grew up in Dunlap, Ohio, and graduated from Colerain High School. Paul Sr. graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1942 and studied wax sculpture under Bernard Tussaud in London, England, after serving as a medic in WWII. He later taught Restorative Art at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Paul Sr. and Marian have two children, Paul R. Young Jr. and Beverly J. Young.

Beverly Young

Senior Administrator

Beverly grew up in Mt. Healthy, graduated from Mt. Healthy High School and attended Ozark Christian College. She is pleased to carry out the vision of her mother, Marian Young, and serve families in the greater Cincinnati area the way that her father, Paul R. Young Sr., would have wanted. Beverly has a history of volunteer work with seniors and nursing homes and has served on the Board of the Directors at Mt. Healthy Christian Village.

Jacob Young

Chief Operating Officer

Jacob grew up in the Ross area, graduated from Cincinnati Christian School in Fairfield, and attended Miami University. He and his wife reside in Mt. Healthy with their little baby. Jacob is honored to serve in the business that his grandparents started seventy years ago.

Sarah Young

Funeral Director, Chief Executive Officer

Sarah grew up in the Greater Cincinnati area, attended high school in Colorado, and later graduated from Taylor University in Indiana. She loves to see the positive influence that a small family business can have within a community.

Juan Vasquez

Funeral Director, Managing Director

Juan has served the Greater Cincinnati area as a funeral professional for twenty years. He grew up in North College Hill and was a member of St. Margaret Mary parish, where he also attended primary school. He then transferred to and graduated from St. Xavier High School. Juan relocated to Northern Kentucky to pursue his studies at Thomas More College before completing his degree at Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He and his wife currently reside in Erlanger.

Terry Roberts

Office Manager

Terry is a native and resident of the west side of Cincinnati. She graduated from Seton High School and she attended Northern Kentucky University. She's been in the funeral industry for over twenty years and joined the Oxford funeral home in 2010 and now serves the corporate office. She enjoys managing administrative details and working with the families.

Helen Rohrer

Funeral Director, Bookkeeper

Helen is a lifelong resident of Cincinnati. Growing up in the Bridgetown area, she graduated from Mother of Mercy High School and attended the College of Mt. St. Joseph, where she earned an Associate’s degree in Business Management. Helen is a Licensed Ohio Funeral Director who has been in the funeral business since 1981. Being a stickler for detail, the majority of her time is spent taking care of the paperwork involved with funerals. Helen has three step-children and is the very proud grandmother of seven. She and her husband, Jerry, live in Ross Township and are active members of Venice Presbyterian Church.

Steve Menke

Funeral Attendant

Steve grew up in Darrtown, graduated from Talawanda High School, and attended Miami University. Steve has been with the business for over thirty years. He loves working with his fellow employees, with families, and with the members of the community. Steve is a member of the Darrtown Stock Protection.

Lisa Bayer

Accountant

Lisa and her family reside in Mason and are very active in their local parish and school, St. Susanna. She attended Archbishop Alter High School in Dayton and later graduated from Miami University in accounting.

Ann Kiefer

Office Manager

Ann grew up in the Morgan Township area and is closely connected with the Oxford community. She also has ties with many families in the Mt. Healthy and Hamilton communities. She works at all three locations and is skilled in many areas of funeral service.
